A hot air furnace is a device that generates hot air by burning fuel. Its operating principle primarily involves two processes: fuel combustion and hot air generation. The following is a detailed explanation of its working principle:
Fuel Combustion
- Fuel (such as coal, oil, or gas) burns in a combustion chamber, releasing a large amount of heat and producing high-temperature flue gas.
Hot Air Generation
- Direct Hot Air Furnaces: The high-temperature flue gas is directly mixed with ambient air and, after highly purified treatment, forms hot air. This air comes into direct contact with the material being dried, heating it and evaporating moisture.
- Indirect Hot Air Furnaces: The high-temperature flue gas transfers heat to the air through a heat exchanger, generating clean hot air. This is suitable for drying materials requiring high hygiene requirements.
Temperature Control
- The hot air temperature is monitored by a temperature meter. When the temperature reaches the set value, the burner automatically adjusts or stops combustion to ensure a stable hot air temperature.
Flue Gas Emission
- The low-temperature flue gas after heat exchange is discharged through a chimney, minimizing heat loss and environmental pollution.
Hot air furnaces are widely used in drying and heating processes in the chemical, food, and building materials industries, offering advantages such as high thermal efficiency and ease of operation.
1. Kiln structure It is divided into three categories: aluminum alloy assembled drying kilns, brick concrete structure drying kilns, and metal structure (with a frame of square tubes, inner aluminum plates, and outer color steel plates) drying kilns.
2. Heating system A drying kiln uses steam as the heat source and humid air as the medium to scientifically dry wood by controlling the parameters of the drying medium. By using steam heating, temperature and humidity control inside the kiln can be achieved to obtain wood drying products with good drying quality and uniform moisture content.
3. Air circulation system The top air type drying kiln belongs to a periodic forced circulation drying kiln. The fan is placed on the top of the drying kiln, and is assembled on the fan frame with a high-temperature and high humidity resistant motor and anti-corrosion aluminum die cast impeller. It is divided into positive pressure zone and negative pressure zone according to the direction of the airflow. The fan can rotate in both forward and reverse timing, and the airflow changes the direction of circulation accordingly, achieving a uniform distribution of airflow through the material stack and achieving good drying quality.
4. Control system The integrated drying kiln is equipped with a semi-automatic control cabinet installed in the centralized management operation room, allowing one person to manage multiple kilns. Operators set parameters based on tree species and drying standards; The semi-automatic control cabinet achieves automatic control of the temperature and humidity of the drying medium by controlling the electromagnetic valves of the heater, steam spraying pipe, and inlet and outlet butterfly valves, ensuring the drying standard requirements and the quality and cycle of wood drying.
5. Detection system The temperature is measured using a thermal resistance thermometer and its accompanying digital display instrument. The relative humidity detection uses a dry and wet bulb temperature difference, which means one is used as a dry bulb thermometer and the other is used as a wet bulb thermometer. The difference between the two is determined by checking the table to determine the relative humidity of the medium in the kiln. The moisture content of wood is measured using a weighing plate or an electrical measuring instrument.
